Job Description

As a Software Engineer for Distributed Systems Testing at Canonical you will focus on building and validating resilient distributed systems which are crucial for the success of Canonical’s Ubuntu and Juju platforms. Your role involves creating automated testing approaches and infrastructure to ensure the reliability performance and resilience of cloud orchestration tools and applications. You will enable engineering teams across Canonical to develop software with confidence by providing essential testing tooling and enhancing continuous integration pipelines. In addition to deploying managing and debugging distributed systems on various platforms you will monitor and report on automated testing efforts while collaborating with a globally distributed team. This position requires a solid background in modern test processes with experience in Python or Go development and a deep understanding of Linux system architecture. You will also have the chance to tackle complex problems and drive new initiatives within the testing team contributing to Canonical’s innovation in cloud solutions.
