As an Engineering Manager at Canonical you will lead a globally distributed team focused on developing Ceph and Distributed Storage solutions. You will ensure the team delivers an easy-to-use open-source storage solution on commodity hardware while fostering a culture of quality and engineering excellence. Your role will involve technical leadership and development of team members including coaching and mentoring to help them grow as engineers. You will need to demonstrate sound engineering principles by directly contributing to team goals while setting reasonable schedules and managing expectations with other teams and stakeholders. Furthermore you will advance modern agile development practices and maintain collaborative team culture in alignment with company values. A background in software engineering particularly with Python and C++ is essential as is experience in managing scale out storage clusters in production environments.
