As an Engineering Manager for Distributed Systems Testing at Canonical you will lead a team dedicated to establishing testing quality across cloud solutions. You will combine your software engineering expertise with leadership to enhance engineering talent and practices. Your role encompasses shaping technical strategies with senior engineers while ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing infrastructure. The team focuses on the performance correctness resilience and interoperability of Canonical cloud solutions which utilize technologies such as Juju Terraform OpenStack and Kubernetes. You will be instrumental in guiding improvements in CI pipelines and testing tools while enabling teams to adopt effective distributed-systems testing practices. Additionally you will contribute technically through design and code reviews and engage deeply in discussions around software design. This globally remote position requires collaboration with engineering leaders to define priorities and advance how Canonical validates complex cloud-native systems. Your experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams to deliver top-notch results while maintaining a high engineering standard is crucial.
