Canonical is seeking an Engineering Manager for IAM to develop and manage high-performance Go and Python services that enhance identity and access management across various company products including Ubuntu One SSO and Juju. This individual will lead the identity team by defining the technical vision in collaboration with product management and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software for diverse environments such as bare metal and Kubernetes. The role requires significant experience in software development alongside strong knowledge of Kubernetes and distributed systems operations while emphasizing design performance and security. Successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing team performance managing code reviews and fostering the professional growth of team members. This position also involves active participation in the software development lifecycle with activities such as software design thoughtful coding documentation and troubleshooting.
