In this pivotal role as Legal Advisor or Legal Counsel at Canonical you will join our expanding legal team supporting various compliance and privacy matters within the technology and enterprise software landscapes. You will engage with cross-functional teams to assess the effects of privacy and data protection regulations including emerging AI laws and provide expert legal support to our product teams. The role requires you to draft and review corporate policies and advance compliance measures globally while maintaining a balance between operational requirements and legal advice. You will contribute significantly to the development of global privacy programs through conducting PIAs and ROPAs and by implementing recommendations from local counsels. This home-based position demands strong analytical skills good commercial judgement and the capacity to advocate for change within a diverse multinational environment.
