Job Description

As a Development Lifecycle Engineer at Canonical you will lead efforts to ensure Ubuntu meets the stringent requirements of mission critical environments such as automotive and aerospace. Your role is pivotal in bridging Canonical's open source engineering with regulated technology standards focusing on compliance and certification. You will facilitate continuous improvement processes collaborate with engineering leadership and work closely with all stakeholders to enhance delivery quality and developer experience. This position requires not just technical expertise but a strong commitment to nurturing an innovative culture within regulated environments. You will be expected to establish strategic partnerships with external groups and advocate for Canonical’s methodologies while directly reporting to the Vice President of Engineering Excellence. The role demands a proactive approach to challenges and the capability to influence and inspire teams as they adopt these rigorous engineering standards.
